About Kelsi
In 2019, Kelsi founded Heritage Christian Academy, Indiana’s first Charlotte Mason micro-school, in Mishawaka, IN, on the campus of Bethel University. The Academy quickly flourished, tripling in size within just a few years. In 2022, Kelsi and her husband Rusty opened Heritage Meeting House, which became home to Heritage Children’s Library, an 8,000+ volume preservation library open to the public, as well as a café, coffee shop, and homeschool resource center.
Kelsi travels extensively, speaking at conferences and churches and consulting with schools and co-ops nationwide, offering leadership development and teacher training workshops in the Charlotte Mason Method. She is concentrating much of her teaching and consulting on working with neurodivergent children, CM application at home and in the classroom, and developing a foundational understanding of Miss Mason’s philosophy. She is currently developing a Charlotte Mason Sunday School curriculum that has been used in her local church for the last 7 years and is actively being prepared for publication
After several impactful years, both Heritage Christian Academy and Heritage Meeting House concluded their seasons, but Kelsi’s passion for education and community continues to shape her work across the nation. She remains deeply rooted in the homeschool community, continuing to teach, mentor, and support families and educators through her speaking, consulting, and curriculum development.

The Rea’s live in South Bend, IN, with their four children, where Kelsi continues to consult with local City and State leaders on education in Indiana.
